Security

At ikastudios.net we treat the audio and notes you trust to Notie as private by default. This page outlines the safeguards we put in place to protect your recordings, transcripts, and account data.

Recordings stay yours

Your recordings are processed solely to deliver transcription and AI summaries. We do not sell, rent, or trade your audio or transcripts to third parties, and we do not use your recordings to train third-party foundation models.

Encryption in transit and at rest

All traffic between the Notie app and our backend is sent over TLS 1.2+. Recordings and transcripts stored on our servers are encrypted at rest using industry-standard AES-256 encryption.

Minimal retention

Audio sent for processing is retained only as long as needed to generate a transcript and summary, then deleted from our processing pipeline. You can delete any recording or transcript from the app at any time, and deletion is propagated to our storage.

Trusted processors

We use a small set of vetted infrastructure and AI providers (such as cloud hosting and speech-to-text providers) under data-processing agreements that prohibit them from using your content for any purpose other than serving Notie.

On-device protections

Notie uses platform-provided secure storage for credentials and locally cached recordings. Background recording is gated by operating-system permissions that you control at any time from your device settings.

Reporting a vulnerability

If you believe you have found a security issue, please email us at support@ikastudios.net. Please include steps to reproduce so we can investigate quickly. We ask that you give us a reasonable window to respond before any public disclosure.
